Miniature Film Analysis

These past two weeks myself and two other students have been trialing and practising with a camera in preperation for the miniature film. We have now finished the movie, and we shall start editing and uploading the movie once it is complete. Once that is done we can anaylse what can be improved on.

Miniature Film Plan

This diagram shows the layout of my miniature movie which I will be making. The plan clearly shows the camera ngles, the characters direction and the objects which he/she will be interracting with.

Miniature Film

I have been asked to film a small video of a person walking into a room and starting a conversation. I will plan this out and then begin a script and cast.

Hellboy 2 Stills

This shot is taken from the side of the prince but also showing the other characters while doing so. It is focused upon the character showing his physical expression while having the light down above his head. The makeup and scenery shows us that this is a fictional movie and we can tell that it could possibly be a thriller or action from the men holding the weapons.

The camera took this shot from behind the characters showing them as being silhouetted against the light to the top left of the screen. The image is focused upon the huge rock like person which the characters are facing towards. Even though the large rock person looks threatening the sky and scenery suggest otherwise.

The Dark Knight Trailer

Here is the trailer release for The Dark Knight, which shows the design, theme and concept of the film.

Analysis of the Dark Knight stills

This shot shows Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) infront of the Batman costume to show the contrast between the two types of personality and that they are two different people. The shot is also focused on Bruce, while blurring the costume making it seem that Batman is almost upon him. The shot is close up showing the expressions clearly, while still managing to capture both persons.

This shot is taken from the front side of both characters showing their facial expressions aswell as their body movement. The room is bland and is grungey replicating the joker's feel and theme. The light is focused upon the table hitting the joker's side face and batmans top head. The rest of the room is darker and urban and rough, this also tells us the mood at this moment in the movie.

This image is of the Joker at the start of the movie, with a close up of the face and over the shoulder shot. The light is shot from just over his left side from behind. Although we can't see the expressions of the character nor his eyes, the sense of emergency is given from the man standing behind him point at gun at him. It shows the audience something he cannot see.

From this point of view it shows the joker from behind and it hides his face as it is the start of the movie and because he obviously does not want to be seen. The fact that is shows the shot in the middle of a square in a public location tells us he is not scared to show who he is and what he is capable of. The shot captures the whole of the character but the way that it only shows his mask looking at the camera menacing and instantly tells us about the character and what role they could be taking in the movie.
